Dear

I hope you are doing well.  As you know, I am currently a sophomore at the University of MO-Columbia.  This year has been very busy, but definitely worth it.  I will be the first to admit that I am still in the process of adjusting to the college workload, but I imagine it’ll be an ongoing growing experience throughout my time here at Mizzou.  Besides the academics, I have had the opportunity to become involved with Campus Crusade for Christ.

Campus Crusade for Christ is an international, interdenominational Christian organization which has challenged me to grow in my walk with God through bible studies, conferences, retreats, and various other activities.  Not only has being involved with Campus Crusade helped my walk with God, but it has also helped me develop great friendships on a campus of approximately 26,000 students.

My desire for this summer is to take part in a summer project with Crusade to Juneau, Alaska.  This summer mission project will last from May 23 – August 9.  I will join 40 other men (6 from Mizzou alone!) from campuses all across the United States.  The mission for this project is to equip students to be Missional Christ-centered laborers.  We will all have jobs in Juneau, and our workplace will be our main area of ministry.  We will also have the opportunity to reach out to the Native American village of Hoonah, located on a remote island off the Alaskan coast.

I desire to truly seek out God’s face during this project and to come to know Him SO much more than I ever have in years past.  I desire to be equipped through the training I will receive so that God can use me to the fullest in doing His work and ministering to His people, not only throughout the rest of my college years, but for a whole lifetime.

In order to attend the project, I will need to raise $2700 to cover housing, training, equipment and other ministry related expenses.  I would also like to raise an additional $1100 for food and transportation expenses (I will be taking an amazing road trip from Missouri all the way to Alaska!).  As you can imagine, this is a very big leap of faith for me.  Would you prayerfully consider supporting my team by giving a gift of $50, $100, $200, or more?  Of course, whatever amount God lays on your heart is the right amount to give.  If you feel lead to give, please return the enclosed envelope with the check (made payable to Campus Crusade for Christ) by April 20 so I can know how close I am to meeting my goal heading into our support deadlines.

Thank you so much for considering joining my support team to help reach the community of Juneau, Alaska for Christ.  I look forward to hearing from you.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at (phone) or (email).

Serving Christ together,
